Dunwoody College of Technology is committed to maintaining a learning and working environment free from discrimination and intimidation, including harassment and sexual misconduct. The College’s mission is best accomplished in an atmosphere of professionalism, which, in turn, is supported, by mutual respect and trust. Dunwoody expects all students and employees and others doing business with Dunwoody to work toward this goal.

Harassment or violence based on a person’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, veteran/military status, disability, age, sexual orientation, status in regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, genetic information, or any other protected class status is unlawful and is strictly prohibited. The College prohibits sexual misconduct of any kind.

This policy applies to all Dunwoody students, employees, volunteers, and all individuals and entities that do business with Dunwoody. Violation of this policy will lead to discipline, up to and including termination of employment for employees, expulsion or suspension from Dunwoody for students, or prohibition from doing business with Dunwoody and exclusion from Dunwoody’s campus for volunteers and third parties.

Reporting Harassment and Sexual Misconduct at Dunwoody

If at any time you observe harassment or feel you are being harassed, or if you observe sexual misconduct and feel you are the victim of sexual misconduct, you should immediately contact the appropriate resource:

Title IX Training

Beginning Fall 2016, Minnesota law requires that all students complete Title IX Training. Title IX states that: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

This online training, which includes a quiz at the end, will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. After you receive a passing grade on the quiz, a message of completion will be sent to the Dean of Students.

* The Domestic Abuse Service Center is available to help victims of domestic abuse (abuse by a family or household member) obtain orders for protection. In addition, harassment restraining orders are available for other types of harassment and assault. Victims do not have to report conduct to police to obtain a harassment restraining order. Dunwoody requires all students and employees whose conduct is subject to an order for protection or harassment restraining order to comply with such orders.
