Scholarships

Dunwoody offers several types of financial aid to help cover the costs of tuition and other fees. Students will be notified of Internal Scholarships via their Dunwoody e-mail account quarterly once they are available. They can also visit stars.dunwoody.edu (requires Internet Explorer 6 or 7) for the latest information on Internal Scholarships. Also, be sure to read how to avoid scholarship scams (PDF file).

A list of external scholarships is below.

If you have questions about financial assistance opportunities, contact the Financial Aid office at (612) 374-5800. For specific scholarship questions, contact Kimberly Helm at (612) 381-3068 or by e-mail at khelm@dunwoody.edu.

(Free tip: if an essay is required or requested for a particular scholarship, please follow the directions and do your best, since this means the scholarship committee wants to read an expression of your ideas.)

Most scholarships require students to demonstrate financial need and have a Student Aid Report (SAR) on file in the Financial Aid Office. Therefore, you should complete the financial aid forms even if you do not believe you will qualify for grants, since the forms will indicate which scholarships and loans you are eligible for.

NOTE: If a student receives an outside scholarship it must be disclosed to the student's Financial Aid Coordinator to ensure a deduction on the tuition.
