Learn about Dunwoody's Radiologic Technology program from David Blake, program manager, at any of the three upcoming Rad Tech Information Sessions. You will be able to meet with an admissions representative and someone in Financial Aid. Personal tours will be available and light refreshments will be served.
The Career
The Radiologic Technology program trains highly skilled medical professionals who oversee X-rays, Ultrasounds, CT scans and other radiologic procedures. They also manage radiology support staff in hospitals, clinics and specialized imaging centers.
Trained radiologic technologists can earn up to $35.00 per hour in Minnesota with a degree from Dunwoody College of Technology. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, there will be nearly 8,000 job openings nationwide for trained radiologic technicians by 2014.
The Program
Dunwoody is partnering with North Memorial to offer a two-year radiologic technologist degree program, with clinical training taking place at North Memorial Medical Center’s state-of-the-art facilities. North Memorial has a long tradition of training radiologic technologists, and is officially transferring its program to Dunwoody in April 2009.
Program Length
Graduates of this program earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. Students entering the program must have college level Algebra and Biology as they are pre-requisites to the program.

This program is approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges.
Minnesota Office of Higher Education approval is subject to the completion of the application for programmatic accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) which is scheduled for 2011.
