The Career
The Civil Construction Industry contains careers that require technical skills to document, design and inspect land, bridges and road projects. Job responsibilities include field surveying, site model development, data collection and application, and various calculations. This program provides several career avenues such as land surveying technician, civil engineering technician, or civil drafter that can lead to a successful future.
The Program
Dunwoody’s Land Design & Civil Engineering program prepares students for various entry level positions in the civil construction industry. The program has academically challenging professional curriculum taught by industry professionals. Technical courses include lectures and laboratories in areas such as surveying, transportation design, geotechnical data and CAD operation. The curriculum requires experiential learning through internship courses. The program also prepares students to take the Certified Survey Technician (CST) exam, which is offered on campus annually. Graduates have real-world experience and the confidence to deliver professional services.
Program Length
