The Heating/Air Conditioning Systems Design (HASD) program prepares graduates for employment in design positions with mechanical engineering firms and mechanical contractors or in sales positions with heating and air conditioning contractors, suppliers and equipment manufacturers. Students learn the mechanical engineering skills and theoretical knowledge to design and generate construction drawings and supporting documents for energy efficient residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems. Courses in commercial and residential piping and plumbing design are also taught. Instructors have extensive industry experience and employ one-on-one training with students to provide the skills employers are seeking. In addition to field-related skills, students gain oral and written communication skills through Arts & Sciences electives. All of Dunwoody's HVAC programs are accredited by HVAC Excellence.
