Mopar Career Automotive Program

MCAP (Mopar Career Automotive Program) is an Internship based Dunwoody College of Technology  AAS Degree Manufacturer program in partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), designed to train students in all aspects of vehicle repair on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® and Ram vehicles.

It is designed to provide each student with hands-on experience in the classroom, lab and at the dealership. It consists of Chrysler Dodge, Jeep® and Ram specific technology by using a combination of FCA Academy and Dunwoody College of Technology training materials.

MCAP students gain cutting-edge training in Automotive systems such as Computer Controls, BUS Communication, Wireless Communication, Telematics, HVAC, Diesel, and Mechanical systems in addition to all of the 8 ASE Automotive Skill categories.

Training in this program will involve attending classes at Dunwoody College of Technology and working at a sponsoring Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Ram or FIAT Dealership. The Total program consists of 4.5 Semesters (2 Semesters/year including a summer session each year). In the 1st semester, the student will be trained in fundamental mechanical and electrical automotive systems. During the remaining semesters, the student will be in MCAP specific classes, while spending a portion of their time on internship at a sponsoring Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Ram or FIAT dealer. A portion of every semester will also be spent fulfilling Academic course requirements.

Upon graduating, MCAP Students are Level 2 Certified in all 7 FCA Academy Core Skill areas.

The Dunwoody MCAP instructor is an ASE certified Master Technician with L1 & G1 Certification. The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), the branch of ASE which certifies and accredits automotive education programs has certified Dunwoody MCAP in all areas of Automotive Service and Repair. FCA has awarded Dunwoody its Outstanding Achievement Award for Innovative Ideas, illustrating the success of the longtime partnership between FCA and Dunwoody.

Degree Information:

Graduates earn an associate of Applied Science degree; the program takes two years (four semesters + one summer session) to complete.
