Dunwoody’s Mopar College Automotive Program (MCAP) prepares students for a career as a Chrysler Dodge Jeep® or Ram Automotive Service Technician by providing them with Chrysler Technical Training, which utilizes the latest tools, equipment and diagnostic processes that are used every day by technicians working in the Chrysler Dealer Network. The program is designed to develop and enhance student’s diagnostic and repair skills in the following automotive areas: engine repair, transmissions, drivelines, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical systems, computer controls, wireless communication, telematics, HVAC, engine performance, diesel technology, and body mechanical systems. Arts & Sciences curriculum is integrated into the program to support the technical skills students learn as well as enhance their oral and written communication skills, fundamental math skills and critical thinking ability.
Student in the program are required to spend a portion of their MCAP tenure working at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep® or Ram dealership to fulfill Dealership Experience hours. Dunwoody's MCAP Instructor has more than 20 years of experience as a Chrysler-certified technician and is an ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certified Master Automobile Technician with Advanced Level Specialist and Light Vehicle Diesel Engines certifications. The MCAP program is a NATEF (the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) accredited Automotive Training Program in all of the eight ASE skill categories. Chrysler has awarded Dunwoody its Outstanding Achievement Award for Innovation Ideas, illustrating the success of the longtime partnership between Chrysler and the College.
